Jester King: Mad Meg 9.0% [750ml]
They say "The name 'Mad Meg' refers to a peasant woman from Flemish folklore, who leads an army of women to pillage hell. She's famously depicted in Pieter Brueghel the Elder's 1562 painting by the same name. Mad Meg is a dry, un-spiced, highly attenuated Provision Ale unique to our land in the Texas Hill Country. Naturally occurring wild yeasts impart a sense of place to this unfiltered, unpasteurized, 100% naturally conditioned beer."
We say "A beer ideal for our buy 1 cellar 2 program, brewed with aging in mind. This is savoury in flavour, with notes of root vegetables, peppered with the spice of nutmeg, cinnamon, clove and bay. Sour with funk and over-ripe fruit, it is well balanced between sweet and bitter, it is very dry in the finish."
