BrewDog: Abstrakt AB:14 10.2% [375ml]
They say "AB:14 is an oak aged Imperial Weizenbock. Expect a big, bold mouth-feel backed by some powerful banana, caramel, toffee, vanilla and spicy hits woven together with some classic weizen notes. All balanced by an eclectic yet bizarrely balanced variety of hops from America (Simcoe) the Czech (Saaz) and the UK (Bramling Cross). The beer is at 10.2% ABV and has been aged on toasted French oak chips. As close to bannoffee pie as a beer can taste. Seriously. Part of our Abstrakt series, more art than beer. Each Abstrakt beer is only released once in limited quantities and bottle conditioned. Oak aged imperial Weizenboch, released in 2013 in 9,995."
We say "This is like consuming a rather indulgent amount of banoffie pie with nice peppery and cinnamon spice tickling the throat. Sweet, yet not too heavy in the mouth despite the pastry flavours and sticky toffee notes. We bring you this rather rare brew from Brewdog??as part of our Cellar Programme, with a limited amount of bottles released so you can enjoy the delights of this beer now it has aged."
